I Left Some of Me in WV...

I went to TOPS again.....drumroll please........................


I lost 3.25 (Thank you Jan for the #3 vibes) pounds for a total loss of 12 pounds. Now I am no dummy and I know the first week or 2 is alot of water weight...but it's still 12 pounds my feet don't have to carry around! WooHoo!

Manga Dork lost another 2.25 giving her a total of 6 pounds! Her friend lost 1.5 for a total of 6.25 pounds. I will admit it makes me feel good to be leading these 2 girls in the right direction.

Today I am headed home from WV and straight to my weigh in at TOPS! I know it won't be 8.75 pounds, but I am hoping for a loss of 2!

Mom Time

Today I am spending the whole day with my MOM! Yippee!

BFFs...Chinese...AND retail therapy...pinch me quick!

Today is Girls Day Out. Manga Dork, BFF Ruth, and I are going to town to have some F*U*N! We are going to the mall, Micheals, Marshalls (cause there is no TJMaxx), AC Moore, out to eat, and maybe to the movies. I always allow myself one naughty meal a month while dieting. This lunch is going to be June's naughty meal. Bet ya can't guess where we are going! LOL!

Real Housewives of NJ season finale tonite 10 pm...can you believe I am actually gonna wait til Thursday night to watch...my parents don't have BRAVO!

WV or Bust!

Today we will be attending "Color Your Own Bear" workshop at our library. It is part of the "Be Creative" Summer Reading Program. I have requested some books to get my "reading mojo" rejuvenated! I still have not finished reading even one book...I am almost there though. I look forward to making my 2009 Books Read list.

Our summer reading program on the farm started last week too. The girls (plus niece and nephew) chose their first books for Book Report Night (June 20). The theme is Summer. Their books have to be about summer or take place during summer. They also learned that for every 50 pages they read they earn one star. Stars will be displayed in the scrappy schoolhouse. The auction/party will take place in August.

After the library the girls and I will be traveling to WV to spend some time with my parents! I can't wait to see them, my grandparents, and BFF Ruth!

New In Town

Last night Dr. Hubby rented this movie. I had heard it had some scrapbooking references and I loved the previews BUT I had also heard it BOMBED at the box office. I was worried...

I loved it though! The scrapbooking references are adorable. The women sitting at a table scrappin' at Scrap Club is so familiar. BTW...how do they work with so very little space? The characters are very likable. My fave has got to be Blanche! I love that she does not know that an executive assistant is a secretary. This movie had me laughing out loud several times!

It is definitely a very cute romantic comedy...I'd leave the men out of it, but if you are watching it with a man there is ice fishing, snow plows, guns, hunting, and a few chauvinistic jokes.

Not my favorite...I could watch it again...would have been good at the theatre.

Date Night

We started our date night with a visit to the "Big Boy Toy Store." This store bores me to the extreme! I tucked my new People magazine in my purse and read a little in between the gun safes and floor mats!

The next stop was TJMaxx. Oh I fell in love with a Betseyville purse ($99 on clearance). It was hot pink and black leather...the leather was soft as silk...I wanted to kiss it, hug it...It stayed there though. The strap was too small to put over my shoulder. I don't know why she makes her straps so short. I challenged Manga Dork to drink all her water for the day...she's been struggling with this. Her reward...a tshirt and XOXO wallet to match her XOXO purse! Well done MD!

I still can not believe we ate at Wendys on date night.

After choking down the dry grilled chicken sandwich and naked baked potato we headed to the Marquee Cinema. This movie was not my pick, but I absolutely loved it. I love John Travolta as the bad guy. He is fantastic. Not as good as his bad guy in the movie "Broken Arrow," but very close.

Then we ended the night at Walmart. When I asked the 2 little ones what they wanted me to bring them home they said...cake! So I bought them one of the mini bday cakes ($3.50).

All in all it was an ok date night...I let Dr. Hubby pick several things in an attempt to break him out of his "funk." Unfortunately he still seems stressed.

Finally...Some Romance!

Well, at least I am hoping for some romance. Dr. Hubby has been in a weird mood all week. Something is stressing him. So I suggested a date night! It seems like it has been FOREVER! I am looking forward to some one-on-one time with him (and a stop at TJMaxx). I think I will even let him pick the movie!

My First Weigh In At TOPS!

Anyhoo...Manga Dork, her friend Taylor, and I went to TOPS for our first weigh in. I think we were all nervous! We all lost! I lost 8.75 pounds...Manga Dork lost 3.75...and Taylor lost 4.75! Woo Hoo for us!

Edward Cullen...Diet Role Model!

After dinner the two little ones wanted a piece of a chocolate bar. I thought I could break off a couple squares and be ok...oh the yummy smell! I put it to my nose and inhaled...the muscles in my jaw twitched and I started salivating...

How does Edward do it? I would have eaten her already! LOL!

(I did not eat any of the chocolate bar)
