It's Fun To Dream!

Dr. Hubby and I love old homes. This is a mansion in the town where his office is located. It was built in the late 1800s and then redone in 1912. It even has a ghost story...or two. The third floor is a ball room. Underneath are tunnels to the courthouse and a couple other buildings, but most have caved in. This would be a dream home!

I would love to see the inside. Do you ever dream of the same location from time to time? A location that you have never been to? I dream of a home about 4-5 times a year for the last several years. The outside of the above home could be the one from my dreams. I spend most of my dream inside so that would really let me know if it was the same.

We are currently playing with the idea of buying a home in town. We could live there during the school year...and then stay on the farm in the summer! It's fun to dream....

What would be your dream home?

We have two mansions in our town. I would love to have one, but they recently sold for 3.2 million and 1.2 million, so I'll keep dreaming.

Living in a shack in the country would beat living in town.

It's fun to dream about a new home. I have a couple of dreams and they are completely opposite. One is a big house in the country. A house with a big front porch. The other is a spacious apartment in New York City in a charming neighborhood. I live smack in the middle of suburbia now...LOL...but I can dream.

I live in my dream home! It's nothing like the mansion above but it is where we raised our family and have made beautiful memories!! I know icky and sentimental but true :D

When I was younger I always thought it would be a fun project to buy a really old, antiquey home and fix it all up. Now the thought makes me tired - LOL!

I would love to have an old Farm house on some acreage with a big wrap around porch... kind of a hobby farm where I could have a big garden and raise some chickens...

I love that home!

And the idea of the home in the city for school year and the farm for the summer sounds awesome!

i love the TARA mansion houses! I have always adored the stately columns! I don't like heavily ornate chandaliers but i do like a few. it's beautiful, i'm dreaming with you!

P.S. If you do buy a house like this you totally need a butler!!! :)

My dream home is a cabin in or near the mountains. A place where the outside world stays far away and I can putter around with all of my many projects.

That home is beautiful!
We visited Coeuer D'alene, ID a few years ago, and I fell in love.
I want to live there someday, in one of the 100 year old homes on the lake.

I love old homes like that, and brand new homes with all the upgrades.
