You've Never Had It So Random {Buried in "Stuff" Edition}

This is my dining room table. In the bottom right corner you can see a glimpse of my new couch that was delivered today. Flooring is installed tomorrow starting at 830am.

I just started a new medicine that is given through daily shots...in the stomach. Let's just say I wasn't a real good example for my kids last night when Dr. Hubby gave me the first one.

My mom and aunt want me to take them to Amish Country in a couple weeks! Yay! I need a break.

Manga Dork is going to homecoming on Saturday with her new boyfriend. Not the one who gave her first kiss {that she never guest blogged about}...she dumped him on her birthday. This is the one she has crushed on since last year.

Sunday I am shooting senior pics for a cousin. I am nervous. At least we are doing it early enough to where she can get them done again if she wants!

I miss reading your blogs...just be patient with me another week...hopefully I will be done. Then I think I will blog and scrapbook for an ENTIRE WEEK!

Hope you are happy and having F.U.N.!

Here Come The Buzzards!

Those of you who farm will know exactly what I am talking about here. I think it is so gross that buzzards are circling a day or two after a field of hay has been cut.

I guess it is because I know why they are circling. Poor little dead mice and rabbits and who knows what else. yuck. These guys are U.G.L.Y. They were posing like a contestant on America's Next Top Model...sorry guys...no cover of Italian Vogue or $100,000 contract with Cover Girl Cosmetics.

I found Wild Child asleep like this last night. I am so proud. GO SAINTS!

Hoo's That Walking?

Yesterday Wild Child got her cast COMPLETELY off. She has permission to walk on it. No jumping, bouncing, or running for 2 more weeks. She says her leg is "a little scared to start walking again."

These are my 2 new best friends...although I am trading one in due to a huge dent in a couple weeks. The salesman had to the nerve to offer me a $25 gift card if I wanted to keep the dented one. That was an offensive offer...I told him to deliver a new one. They are so quiet...ya don't even know they are in the house. I think I'll have them train the kids.

Wild Child and I celebrated her "castless" leg at the chinese buffet and then did some intensive retail therapy at TJMaxx. I couldn't resist this 18" orange glitter covered metal owl...at $12.99 he had to come home with me. I will share more of my treasures tomorrow!
Are your fall decorations out yet? It's the first day of AUTUMN!

Do You "Like" It?

We are headed to the orthopedist today. We are praying we get the OK to walk! It has been 5 weeks and 3 days and Wild Child is SO ready!

Do the ads on facebook creep you out? I find it a little disturbing that I get all kinds of scrapbooking, Saints, Nicholas Sparks, Debbie Macomber, Sophie Kinsella, and tv show ads. I find it disturbing that they know to put up a small pic of Damon from Vampire Diaries. Like there is someone in there saying, "Well, she didn't fall for the 99 cent Nicholas Sparks book or the limited edition Saints snowman...I know exactly how to make her hit the LIKE button." And that is when they pop up the tiny pic of Damon wanting me to click if I "like" Vampire Diaries.

I am such a sucker. I clicked on it.

I Need Your Help!

I am going to be taking photos of all 3 of my girlies for our family room wall. Yesterday I took Cutie to the hay barn for her "shoot." I love all 3 of these...which would you choose?

#1

#2 This was the only photo I shot here. I stood her there to put her shoes back on and couldn't resist the "farmy" goodness of the props.

#3 This one will be turned to black and white too.

Can you see why I need help choosing?
I hope Wild Child is as cooperative!

3 Feet of Cat Feces

I feel like I spent a whole week in paint limbo. Seeing your home like this can get very old...very quick!

My kitchen and dining room walls are now pale butter. Love it! Much "homier" than the white.

And these are the "hot sauce" living room walls. We are having a hard time with these and I am praying that once the new flooring, furniture, and accessories arrive I will like it better. I can't wait to share the final pics...I am hoping to be done by October 1st!
My mom went home yesterday. She stayed in my home for a whole week...never left once and worked through every time I had to leave to pick up or drop off the kids. We did sit down Saturday night to watch "Hoarders." If your house is feeling messy and you are too tired to clean...sit down and turn on that show...you will feel better INSTANTLY! Especially if it is the episode with the 3 feet of cat feces on the kitchen table and the closet full of Walmart bags filled with human feces. Yikes!
Happy Monday!

Some Sneak Peeks {Do You Have On Your Sunglasses?}

This is the wall in the littles' bedroom. Doesn't have a name...they just matched the owl's tummy on the bedding. It is not pink...it is PINK!

This is my living room in progress. It was a cactus green...so soothing...so peaceful. Dr. Hubby decided we need to wake up so he chose a color called HOT SAUCE! Ole!
I am so thankful for my mom's help. I would have been a hot mess without her.

Proof That Manga Dork Is Not The Only One Getting Older

Well after I slept in til the extremely late hour of 8:06 {I tried to knock myself back out but it didn't work}...

we headed to the Charleston Town Center. Two levels of retail therapy yumminess! We had chinese for lunch to build up our energy.

The girls were ready to have F.U.N.! I had to do alot of sitting because of my creaky old back. 9 days til Wild Child's cast comes off! Hallelujah!

It was fun watching the outside screen while they posed in the photo booth.

I love these 2 girls. We have laughed so hard. I offered to let them roam the mall alone, but they wanted me to stay with them...made me feel VERY good.

Well, hello Mr. Beiber...do you have BEIBER FEVER? He just wants to make U SMILE! Do you have SOMEBODY TO LOVE? He can't help he is so EENIE MEENIE! mwhahahaha!
One bonus to this trip is that we actually found Manga Dork's homecoming dress! Love the lime green socks!

For dinner we took a detour from WV to "Texas." YUM!

It has been so much fun spending time with this crazy teen. The mother/daughter time is priceless...although we did work Dr. Hubby's credit card pretty hard. OSU beat Miami! WooHoo!

We ended the evening with a dunk in the pool and a movie in our room.
These 2 teens are such hard partiers...believe it or not they were SNORING before the end of the movie! This creaky old 35 year old who is not a night owl WAS THE LAST ONE STANDING! Wimps! Maybe I not getting too elderly...
Happy 15th Birthday Manga Dork! I luv ya!

Fantastic 15 Fun!

This weekend I am spending the weekend with Manga Dork and Cousin Kayla at a beautiful hotel in the capitol city of WV {Charleston}. This is Manga Dork's birthday treat!

We couldn't wait to plop down on the comfy beds. The girls want to order room service in the morning.

Then we jumped on the beds a little.

After breaking in the room we headed to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings {birthday girl's choice}. It was SO yummy and LOUD! They had 39 big screen tvs showing the Marshall University vs. WVU game. It was a wild time filled with cheering and even some trumpet playing. I am a Marshall alumni and I was very bummed when they lost...but it was an exciting game!
Tomorrow...retail therapy! Go kart racing! Ice skating! A movie! More great food!
I can't believe my baby will be 15 on Sunday!

And They Are All Gone...

Cutie started her 2nd year of preschool today. She was so excited. I think her teacher is going to be shocked at the difference in her personality. Last year she was so reserved and shy. She had to stand by the bookcase for a few minutes before coming into the classroom. Today she bounced into the room and went straight to the board to find her name card. I had to get her attention to tell her bye. No more holding onto my skirt...

Before we went to preschool we stopped by Dr. Hubby's office. I had to get some bloodwork done. Cutie said she would hold my hand, but told me "don't cry too loud...you'll hurt my ears." and "big mommies don't cry." I don't cry {anymore}...I just turn pale, sweat, and have to sit for a little while after it is done...lol. Don't tell Dr. Hubby but Cutie also "borrowed" 2 boxes of bandaids...Spongebob and Batman.

Now what do I do for 2.5 hours here at the house ALL ALONE?!

I Am A Bigger Baby Than My Baby!

This kiddo is special. She has been a trooper in this broken leg adventure. Her spirit is not broken...she just brings that big ol' pink cast along for the ride. Today we went back to the orthopedist. It's been 3 weeks and 2 days since "the break."

The first thing they did was bring out a saw. I then realized Dr. Hubby and I shouldn't have teased her last night with a large power tool....lol. The look on her face says it all.

Cutie had to see everything that was going on. She told the nurse "Be careful. Don't hurt Wild Child." It was so precious I totally teared up.

Wild Child said it felt "really weird." Her little heel was so dry. I washed her leg and they took 2 xrays. The doc said she is "healing very well."

He sent her home with the back part of her cast wrapped in an ace bandage. Hallelujah! She can take a bubble bath. But she can't walk on it for 2 more weeks. She has to take it off and exercise it a couple times a day. She handled the news of needing her wheelchair 2 more weeks just fine. I, however, wanted to throw myself in the floor and roll around kicking and screaming.

Dear Dr. Orthopedist Man,
By the end of two more weeks I am going to need a referral. Lifting a 5 year old is making me old and creaky. My back is no longer going to be able to function...I am going to need a new one.

Out Of The Mouth Of A Man

***Guest blogger post coming soon***

Yesterday we took advantage of the Labor Day sales at the furniture stores. At the end of the day we had purchased a black leather sofa and loveseat, a leather recliner, bed with trundle for the little ones, 2 twin mattresses, a twin mattress set for Manga Dork, washer, and dryer. Then I raced into Lowes at 8:53 and barely convinced them to sell me the paint for the little ones' room.

I did all of this with a headache...a horrible headache...the kind where you are not sure if your eyes are going to pop out or your neck is just going to break off.

It took alot of patience to get through the stores with 3 kids. I lost my cool, but it wasn't with my kids. Dr. Hubby had a "stupid man moment" while we were getting the washer and dryer. When we were discussing the gas vs. electric dryer he stated, "Well, in my opinion she should be washing them and hanging them on a clothesline." Right there in front of the salesman I "in so many words" told him where to stick his opinion...g-rated but filled with sarcasm.

Happy Labor Day Weekend!

Move Over Bill Murray There's A New Groundhog In Town

Do you remember this movie? Bill Murray kept living the same day over and over again. Well, that is kinda what my week has felt like. Here's how my days have went this week...

6:00AM Get Manga Dork up
6:45AM Drive Manga Dork to the bus
7:00AM Get back in bed
7:20AM Get Wild Child up
7:45AM Wake Dr. Hubby before taking Wild Child to school
8:05AM Drag wheelchair out of car and push Wild Child to gym
8:30AM Get back home and crawl back in bed to snuggle with Cutie.
8:40ish Tell Dr. Hubby bye.

{This part of the day includes wake up, too much computer time, too much eating, playtime with Cutie, too little cleaning, and a shower}

3:00PM Head back to school to pick up Wild Child and Manga Dork
3:20PM Sweat in gym waiting for Wild Child's class to come in.
3:30PM Fight with wheelchair to get it back in car and head for ice cream at McDs
4:00PM Come home and do last minute cleaning and a little bit of cooking
6:00PM Dinner
6:45PM Start with bathtime, checking bookbag, pulling outfits for next day, ironing {I really dislike this part}
8:00PM Mention bedtime for the little ones and then begin getting snacks for the rumbling tummies and drinks for the parched tongues {they are trying to delay}
8:30PM Both littles are tucked in bed. I collapse on the couch and hope for some cheesey reality show goodness.
10:00PM Manga Dork bedtime
{I start heading toward bed and end up there sometime before 11:30}

And then it starts over the next day...

Tomorrow I will be having a guest blogger...the picture above is a hint for the blogger and the topic {wink wink}.

TGIF {I haven't ever meant that as much as I do today}

My DooHickey Is Back In Action!

My photo uploading doohickey has decided to cooperate today! Here are our Back To School 2010 photos...{Cutie doesn't start preschool until next Wednesday}

How is it possible this baby is a freshman?! She came home saying "I love high school...it is so much better than junior high!"

Wild Child went to Kindergarten. This is not exactly how I pictured her first day of school. She seems to be enjoying it, but isn't really "talky" about it yet.
Wild Child says she kissed Landen yesterday. He has been her "boyfriend" for 2 years. I was shocked. I think this comes from hearing about Manga Dork's first kiss she received a couple weeks ago.
I broke down and cried last night. I am tired...physically and emotionally. I have a new respect for mother's of children in wheelchairs. Lifting them breaks your back, but seeing them not be able to do the stuff the other kids are doing BREAKS YOUR HEART. I am thankful this is only temporary.
The first week is almost over!

Cleaning Up The Ghetto

It's official...the makeover on the littles' room has begun! We are "cleaning up the ghetto."

The two littles love sharing a room, but 2 twin beds really eat up all their play space. I am going to order this trundle bed from Value City Furniture to give them a little more floor area.

I shared photos on facebook of the bedding I ordered from jcpenney.com, but I can not figure out how to get them here. They don't have a blogger share button. So if you are not on facebook you can go to jcpenney.com and search "Corbin quilt" if you want to see the adorable OWL bedding we chose. I may or may not have limited the number of choices they were given in order to get the one I want....mwhahahaha!

Let the redecorating begin!
