Weekend Update

Well, it's that time of week ladies and gents...What did we do on Four Seasons Farm this week...let's review...

My MIL quickly became the source of most of my stress...I put out WANTED posters for the kids...Manga Dork missed 3 days of school due to illness...I entered a quilt giveaway (still crossing my fingers!)...and I received 3 bloggy awards!

I think the biggest thing this week was trying to decided whether or not to do my party. I am happy to say that the party is still ON!

Thank you to everyone who gave me trip ideas...I loved them all! I will let you know what we decide. No plans yet though.

On Saturday Dr. Hubby and I got the chance to go on a DATE! Hallelujah!

We piled the divas in the car...Manga Dork was having "sleepover hangover"...Wild Child was ready to go to Mama's house...and Cutie was pitching a fit...

And now for the handoff.

Dr. Hubby and I drove to town, returned some clothing to Peebles, and then made a run for the border! LOL! Seriously....we picked him up a burrito at Taco Bell and then proceeded to pick me up the healthiest lunch I have ever had (NOT!). I had a waffle cone filled with CHOCOLATE RASPBERRY TRUFFLE ice cream from Brewsters. I kid you not...the angels sang when I took the first bite. BTW...for my bday party I am having an ice cream cake with chocolate raspberry truffle inside....cause ya know...vampires are COLD and the red raspberry swirls kinda look like...you know what...shhh!

Then we went through the car wash while we ate our health food.

We visited several shops we each like...Hubby chose a leather shop that is so westerny I want to start saying things like "Howdy" and "Partner" and the Birkenstock shoe store. These ladybug shoes were in the "Not Birks" side of the store....how cute!
I chose the Scrap Shack and Borders. I got 2 new cuttlebug embossing folders ("You" and "Holly") and some adorable DaisyDs paper. Unfortunately I could not hunt down the Twilight movie guide...I don't think it is out in stores yet. Boo Hoo!

We did pick up Manga Dork the 2009 calendar! The pics are great!

I had never seen Carlisle close up...a young blond doctor...hmmmm...I have a weakness for those! LOL!

We hit TJMaxx and then tried to find Manga Dork a costume. The only place in the mall for those was Spencers. Let me tell ya...keep your eyes on the costumes...or you may get educated in something you don't want educated in at that store! All their costumes were a little short or too sleezy!

We went to see the movie Nights in Rodanthe. It was SO good. Total romance, BUT Dr. Hubby liked it too! Take some tissues...

We ended the night at Walmart (of course). We got home at midnight and stayed up til 2AM chatting and looking at things on the computer. Tonight he is taking his mom to the Haunted Prison....ooooooohhhh....spooooooky! LOL!

BTW....Mechelle you were right....I could rise above my trials with MIL...I picked up a bottle of her fave perfume and we gave it to her for babysitting for our date!

I Got My Gold Card!

I received my BFF Gold Card from Pam over at McEwens. She is such a great bloggy buddy. I always look forward to reading her next post. Blog world wouldn't be the same without her!

5. Desert Hen - One of my newer bloggy reads...and I am loving it. They have the coolest way to put up hay!

6. Redhoodoos - Jodi is a great gal...I am really glad I found her in blogworld.

7. Keli - Such a fun blogger. Her kids are cute...especially her spunky little celeb.

8. Manga Dork - My bestest bloggy buddy forever! Love ya kiddo!

I was given another award and must bestow it on 5 more bloggy buddies. BUT my eyelids are so heavy I am about to fall forward on the keyboard so I will do it tomorrow! Thanks again Pam...it really means alot to me.

Twilight News!

Lil Sis just received her copy of the full color movie guide...she said it is fantastic. She ordered hers from Amazon and they have it for $9.34! She said the pics are great. Just thought my fellow Twilighters would want to know. Jan, you might as well just give in and go pick up a copy! LOL!

BTW...Lil Sis also read that the movie will be 120 minutes.

I can't wait!

It's On...

Here is the beginning...the beginning of my party. I am not going to let someone's ignorance rob me of a great celebration. I plan on having a great party. I want to celebrate life and the honor of living another year. I want to have the best party most of my friends and family have ever attended. I want to share my love of Twilight with them. I want it to be something we talk about for quite awhile. And when I decide to give myself another one in the future...there will be no rolling of the eyes or laughter...just them begging to be invited. LOL!

I'm About To Lose My Mind...Up in Here! Up in Here!

What is not so hilarious is that my MIL is losing her mind and it is like a stinky old virus that is catching...and it is stealing my smiles...my laughter...my optimism...and my I don't know what else.

I won't even bore you with the UNBELIEVABLE stuff she has done in the past couple days, but this last one takes the CAKE! Literally.

At the bus stop yesterday while picking up niece and nephew she told one of my friends, "Did you hear that Scrappy is giving herself a birthday party?!" And then she proceeded to laugh and laugh and laugh. My friend did not find her amusing and told her, "Well, I guess if you want a certain type party that is the way to go." MIL thought she would laugh along with her. NOT!

Anywho...I was going to share with you some of the beginnings of my party preparations today BUT I think I will just change the whole thing...MIL is making fun of me...SIL has already come up with 5,789 ways I can do it her way (even though she can't attend)...Lil Sis may not be able to make it....and my loyal friend at the bus stop is scheduled to work. That leaves me, Manga Dork, and my BFF Ruth that I have to drive 4 hours to pick up.

I think I will "rethink" the whole thing! Sorry for bringing such a negative vibe to blogland, but I believe that blogging the good and bad is very important...besides its cheaper than therapy and keeps me out of jail. Just joking! Kinda.

Mommy's Afternoon Off...ahhhh!

My 2 little ones spent from 11AM to 4PM with MIL. They haven't spent much time with her in the last week and she is going on a trip next week. So what did I do with my time?



Manga Dork is at home for the second day with the cold Wild Child shared with her. Soooo...we watched a stupid movie and That 70s show while I scrapped. I'll give you a hint what movie we watched.



He has Billy Ray's Achey Breaky haircut..."Is that where you wanna be when Jesus comes back?"..."That's what I'm talkin' about."..."Life's a garden, dig it!"..."Don't church it up son."..."Keep that skoal baby." Can you guess?



The quilt giveaway I posted earlier inspired me to share one of my creations. My Mom is an avid quilter and I sometimes get sucked in!

This is a closeup of the cute novelty fabric I used. I was a little lazy and "tacked" it instead of handquilting.
The yellow spreading in the back pasture is gorgeous! It is a really hazy day here.
Over at AMR I participated in a 3x3 deco square swap. I had a ton of Halloween paper I needed to use. This was fun! It felt good to get creative!

Cutie Patootie

Currently the most dangerous of the Four Seasons Gang. She will fully admit to all crimes when caught.

Yesterday Cutie was eating a McDonalds ice cream cone in the car. She said "I eat it all." Scrappy gets out of car and asks her what she did with the paper that was on the cone. "I eat it all." Scrappy looked in car and sure enough...she eat it ALL!

Last night after putting all kids in bed Scrappy and Dr. Hubby sit down to watch a movie. They hear, "I poop." Scrappy watches a couple minutes more and starts to get up to check on Cutie. Cutie comes down the hallway naked and holding poopy diaper in hand OPEN! She has poop on her hand, belly, leg, and butt (of course). YUCK! She looks at Scrappy and says, "I poop."

MIL strikes again...DC dies...Why Do I Keep Going In There?

For some reason I can't seem to stay out of Manga Dork's bedroom...

I'm sure this has nothing to do with it...LOL!

Found this the other day...Love it!

My digital camera (DC) died. Boo Hoo! I guess I need a new one...LOL! Hint! Hint!

Yesterday Dr. Hubby, Manga Dork, BIL, SIL, niece, and nephew went horsebackriding/4wheeling. MIL had a REALLY bad headache and FIL was not feeling well either. Wild Child still is recovering from her cold. I decided to stay home instead of letting an ill MIL and FIL watch the 2 little ones. I was harassed, guilt tripped, and insulted for not going. It was so stressful. I don't know what the big deal was...it was weird. Manga Dork called me from my MIL's house and had me on speaker phone...well I spoke my mind for the whole family to hear. After everyone left for the trip MIL called me and I told her that MD was in trouble for putting me on speaker phone. Well, MIL lied and said it was only for a second and all they heard was me say, "Tell Mama that Jesus doesn't like it when you lie." Well, when I asked MD about it when she got home she told me almost word for word what MIL had said...but she had THE LOOK! Turns out MIL had told MD what she told me and told MD to LIE to me to stay out of trouble! MD did. I am sure my BP went through the roof. I have not talked to MIL or MD about this....I had to cool off. Argh.
