The "Better" Score So Far

So how do you measure up so far? Are you keeping your resoutions? Have you reached any goals? It's hard to believe January is already gone, but I was definitely ready for it to be over...now we just have to make it through February's flu season. I usually get it every year during this month.

I thought I would take inventory of how I am being "BETTER" in my many roles so far this year...

Christian: I have been praying more often and taking the time to thank God during the day for even the littlest of blessings.

Wife: We did not have a date night this month, but we had a weekend getaway to Cleveland. It was refreshing to spend husband/wife time together.

Mother: I have been lightening up on Manga Dork and trying not to control her so much. I am a bit of a control freak.

Daughter: The time we spent at the schoolhouse scrappin' was great! I enjoyed her week here.

Granddaughter: I mailed my grandparents a card with a couple pics from Christmas and made 2 out of the blue phone calls to them.

Sister:

Sisterinlaw:

Daughterinlaw:

Aunt:

Niece:

Cousin:

Friend: I made BFF Ruth a handmade card and gave her "Eclipse" for her bday.

Community Member/Citizen: I sent 2 valentines to soldiers in Iraq.

Homemaker/cleaning: I decorated for Valentines Day.

My health: I lost 4 pounds, switched from regular to Diet Coke, and I am eating alot healthier.

Scrapbooker: I started doing challenges with AMR.

Photographer: Project 365 is helping me look for interesting things to photograph.

PLEASE NOTE...This is not everything I do...just little things that I have added that I feel make me "better" at the role I am playing. Please also do not take this as bragging...it is just a list to remind me of how I am doing "better" and the goals I want to achieve.

I think its a great way to keep track of all the "yous"!

And it's ok to brag on yourself a little!

Hey - 46 more days til Twilight comes out on DVD! HAHA!
(((not that I'm counting or anything...)))

One more thing... and please dont take this that I don't enjoy the photos you've posted so far for your 365 project...but to the Scrappy Photographer, how about some photos of the farm and the animals?? I am loving me some horses!

I thought this was great and maybe I shoud do the same inventory each month myself. I didn't see it as bragging at all.

You've done terrific... Look at all you have accomplished in one month. Just think what you will be able to accomplish in a year. You go girl! Wow!!
I really love all of your scrapbooking and cards. It is really an inspiration to me - which I always need when I scrapbook. I think it is amazing that you come up with such great ideas!
I've been bad with my diet - Woo hoo for the 4 pounds you've lost. That's great!!
Get the clorox out and get rid of any germs that try to sneak in... It's sad you get the flu every Februray - yikes. I'll pray for you that you don't!
Being good to a teenager is really tough -- horray for you and your efforts... I am really controlling too... And with teenagers it really hard to sit back and watch them do stupid stuff - LOL.. Oh, the joys of being a mom. (I hear girls are much harder then boys - you'll have your hands full - you have the girls and I had the boys).

I like the way you think of yourself in the different roles you have in life. That is a really neat idea. I might steal it from ya!
