Why'd Ya Have To Go And Do That To Me, Will Smith!?

Last night was Dr. Hubby's turn to pick the movie. He chose Seven Pounds from the PPV selections. I like Will Smith so I was feeling pretty good about his choice.

DO NOT EVEN ATTEMPT TO WATCH THIS MOVIE UNLESS YOU ARE EXTREMELY HAPPY! I'm talking "It's my birthday and I just won the lottery" happy! This movie is haunting and thought provoking. It will tear your heart out and stomp on it...a couple times. I do suggest you watch it...just go into it happy! You feel what the characters are feeling. Beware of the "WHAT IF" game...this is where the tears fell the MOST! In the end...I felt it was one of the best I have seen in awhile. Just give it time to put everything together.

Enjoy.

If you've seen it...What did you think?

It was one of the BEST movies I've seen in a very long time...I cried..which I don't usually do watching movies. It was yes, thought provoking, and sad and yet there was also so much Joy...in what his "gift" gave to others.....sad but Beautiful and GREAT movie!

My hubby and I saw this in the theatre when it came out - We were also lured in by the "We like Will Smith so it must be good thing".

We left the theatre going "What the HECK was that????".

Weirdest movie ever and you nailed it - You must be extremely HAPPY to watch it - it really is a downer.

It was one of those movies that left me feeling somewhat sad. I just wished that he would have done something different. He gave the ultimate sacrifice, but the suicide bothered me a lot. And the eyes on the blind man was so freaky. I couldn't believe it.

Have not seen it yet, but it is on the Netflix list. I have heard that it is a tear-jerker! I will take your word for it and now make sure I'm extremly happy when I watch it. That probably won't help and I'll end up bawling my eyes out!

interesting review! i love him too and i've wanted to see this!

someone told me it was very emotional, kind of like his "pursuit of happyness" from a couple years ago. that one makes my husband cry every time...

Every time I see a jelly fish on TV or talk about on.. I get freaked out. The nightmare of it all. I'm not into unhappy endings at all. So..... thumbs down for me.

I expected it to be really great too - because of Will Smith.. there was a lot of information to absorb... it was thought provoking.. But I like happy endings.. Freaky about the Jelly Fish.
