The Rockets Red Glare...Bomb's Bursting...On The Porch?!

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July! We had our 8th annual Firecracker Festival at our home.

I made this delicious pie that I got from A Duck In Her Pond and Smokey Mountain Cafe. It is a no bake Apple Pecan Cream Pie that is served cold! This is one recipe you should definitely check out! Yum!

Can you believe I baked! These devil's food cupcakes with cream cheese icing were so cute in their patriotic flair!

We always do family pics on this holiday...I promise I have hair...I just forgot to take it out of the ponytail I put up while cooking.

My FIL & MIL with all their grandkids.

BIL & SIL with our niece and nephew.

After eating we sat around chatting and MIL and the girls thought it would be a good idea to lay on the trampoline to watch the fireworks...

We oohed and aahed over the show put on by Dr. Hubby and his lil bro.

Then one went sideways about 5 feet over the trampoline and you should have seen everyone hop off! Heehee!
The show was gorgeous, but we had one large box turn over and shoot the fireworks straight at us. Unfortunately it was a big one with several large ones in it. Thank goodness no one was hurt. MIL was the only person hit and she was ok. Large fireworks were going off right beside me and in front of me. I FREAKED OUT cause I couldn't see Dr. Hubby through the smoke. Let's just say he now knows how much he means to me...LOL! Thank you God for keeping us all safe. Sparklers are much more my speed!

Cutie Patootie was the smart one. She is so soft hearted she had to watch through the glass door...and she cleaned them too! Heehee!
All in all it was a good celebration! Hope you had a good one too!

I'm glad you liked that pie! It's addicting, isn't it? Though yours is much prettier than mine! I was too busy...er...eating it while making it.

Your treats look really yummy. I love the pinwheel toppers on the cup cakes. What a homemaker you are - made me laugh "I even baked". You are so cute.

I love the family photos. I love all the patriotic outfits. Very festive!

You sure are an awesome Mom with all the things you do for your family. I love Cutie Patootie's USA on her cheek (pushed up on the glass - LOL). You are VERY creative making all of these great memories.

I'm with Cherie seeing the famous MIL. Evil laughter... :-O

I'm glad nobody was hurt by the fire works and I'm glad your heart is still beating strong with that little jolt of energy not know if Mr. Scrappy Girl was OK. (I'm sure he always has known how much he means to you).. Aaaah the love!

Happy Fourth!. I loved all the "f" words in the last post too!
