Stimulating The Economy

This weekend Dr. Hubby's Aunt and Uncle and their 2 daughters came to visit. This was the family that got mad cause we would not let Manga Dork go camping with them and the 2 17-year old boys they took along in June. I guess they have let it go. I am SO glad cause enjoy spending time with them.

On Saturday morning his aunt and I woke up bright and early to hit my Longaberger consultant's open house...I found lots of goodies to bring home!

The guys went to Cabelas and a couple gun stores...the girls went to TJMaxx and Michaels! I got the paper pad for $11.99 (reg. $19.99)...4 rolls of holiday ribbon $.60 - $.90 (reg. $1.99 - $2.99)...3 photo boxes 3/$5 (reg. $4.99 each)...AND Everyday Paperdolls cricut cartridge $35.99 (reg. $89.99). Now I got to get busy making my Christmas cards!

Do you send Christmas cards?

Do you make or buy them?

When do you send them out?

How many do you send?

Isn't it wonderful when you get to spend time with family you just love - we did that this weekend - first out of town with my fam, and then with 27+ people at my house with my husband's fam. I love having people over!

I send cards with my boys - this year we got in the picture - so it's definitely not as good looking! LOL

Merry Christmas Season!!!

I try to make them if I have time - Looks like this year I'll be buying them. I'll also be sending them out late - ha ha - I am a mess :D

i make my own christmas cards, usually about 50 of them so i start in feb or march and usually mail them out dec 1st (i may not next year because it is getting very expensive to mail things)

can't wait to see your cards - you got some good deals at michaels :D

It really depends on my mood, I think this year I might be lazy and not send them out. In year's past I have bought them and sent them out. If I am really feeling inspired I make Christmas cards for a few select friends.

I am crappy at the card thing. Don't ask.
Great buys though- I would love to find some of that under the tree :)

I'm glad they have let that go. I remember that camping story and still think you did the right thing.
I send photo cards. Got them free online this year!

I make my own cards with pictures. I love it. And then of course, I still have boxes of cards I bought last year and the years before. I prefer the handmade but they are time consuming. This year I am doing something I saw in Martha Stewart. And then I use Photoshop and pics of MiniMac to make a card we also email to some people.

Cute, Cute baskets. I am swamped lately with the holidays and my job. I'm hoping to get caught up in blog land and post about New Moon. I seen it on Friday 11/20 - I didn't do the midnight movie (I decided I'm getting too old and it's a killer to be sooo tired while trying to work the next day). Anyway there were parts I liked - but too many that I just shake my head at. I am not a huge Twilight movie fan - which you may already know. I truly feel like the producer, the screen play writer and the costume designer have no clue what the books are about. It's very dissapointing. I hope to be able to blog about it soon. Eclipse is June 2010 which is great that it is not next to a busy holiday. But.... I hope they get a clue about what the books are about (a love story - not an action film). There was more humor - which I liked and it did stay close to the story line. I loved the wolves... the vampires were yucky - they'd never blend in to real life with their pasty skin and glow in the dark eyes - gag..

i do send out cards..it is my favorite part of the season! i make them...some years from scratch...some years with the help of Shutter-fly! I'm a slaaaaaacker. No Christmas cards. When life seriously fell apart a few years ago, that ball dropped from my juggle act, and I never picked it back up.

You scored!

Sometimes I make cards, sometimes I buy them, this year I'm not sure I'm doing either. I'm pretty much ready with everything else, even all my shopping, but the thought of cards is stressing me out this year. Is it bad if I send an email and tell everyone to just read my blog? ; )
