Well, it has snowed here all week so far...and the forecast says it is gonna keep on snowing. Cabin fever is starting to set in. For the last 2 days I have been super nice and let Dr. Hubby drive my Escalade to work. It was in the garage and I wasn't gonna be going out.
Well, after 2 days of being in the house with my 3 girls who were already bored and excited to return to school...I am ready to explode. I told Dr. Hubby I wanted my car to be able to drive down the hill to my scrappy schoolhouse. So he had to go out in the cold snow this morning and uncover his truck so he could drive to work. In my defense, he could have parked the Escalade outside last night and brought his truck in the garage...just sayin'.
Now for the baby-fied part. Night before last I was taking a pizza out of the oven with my farberware rubber potholders...I was also talking on the phone to Dr. Hubby. When I grabbed the stone with my red holder my thumb was over top of the little hole in it! Yep, I now have a perfectly round blister on the tip of my left thumb.
I am telling you it really really hurt. I cried when I did it. I broke down and sobbed when Dr. Hubby got home. I had to go to sleep with an ice pack. It reminded me of the time I was helping Manga Dork put together a cardboard castle for homeschool group. I used the glue gun to put moss on...I pushed it down with my fingertips...I had to sleep with popsicles in the plastic pouches on my hands.
It also made me think of NieNie. Here I was whining and sobbing over a blister the size of a plain M&M. NieNie is having surgery this week...please keep her in your prayers. She is an amazing woman. Her address is also on her blog if you want to send her a little something to brighten her days after surgery.
Happy Wednesday Bloggy Friends!

I am the biggest baby when I get hurt or am sick. Waaaah!
in your defense, the thumb probably has more nerve endings than any other part of our body, and as I;m sure you've realized, we use them a lot.
did you make to down tot he school house? I hope so!
Love, Dana and Daisy
I am sorry that was so painful for you, I don't blame you for crying a bit, especially since you've been cooped up! Hang in there and hope your finger feels better soon.
LOL!! You are soooo cute!! You crack me up... maybe it was suppose to be a serious blog... but I laughed out loud about your M&M size blister.. well - they do hurt.
I wish I could hunker down in a snowstorm. I've never had the luxery and have to get out there and work. I wonder if I could ever stay at home for days... I'd probably get cabin fever too.
I think when you remodel this year... you should add more room in the garage so that both of you can park your cars.. :-D
Ouch! Burns are the worst. I cannot imagine going through what Nie has gone through.
Such a cute post! Sorry about your blister and cabin fever.
Hope you got out and enjoyed.
Oh, you are not the only one! Lol! I just realized today that I have not left my house since Friday. We are having a huge snow storm today as well. The kids went back to school after Winter break for one day, and now it appears that they will be out the rest of the week. I know it's January and all but I have never seen weather like this in Kansas. It's weird!
And sorry about your burn. I think the fingers are one of the most painful places to burn:(
Ya know...we are the ones who take care of everyone elses needs ALL the time, that when we get hurt, it really is nice for someone to baby us.
I'm with ya sister. I feel your pain. Blisters HURT!
Oh, you poor thing! I can take a lot when it comes to pain: scratches, pokes, sprains, even childbirth, but I H-A-T-E burns. Feel better sweetie, keep the ice on it. And I'll be sure to keep NieNie in my prayers. :-)
I have three scars on both my arms from burning them while cooking the past year. They hurt like heck at the time and looked awful for weeks. I rarely burn myself, but for some reason, I burned both arms within a matter of months last spring. So I totally feel your pain! And I cried something awful too!!
sorry you got a burn {{hugs}}
ha! you are a baby...but that's ok!
...I put my whole palm on the griddle the other morning...just to see if it was warming up correctly...and YES...Yes It WAS! I pulled it away fast enough that it did not blister...just shriveled-up the skin a little....I sometimes wonder what I'm thinking...or..um NOT thinking!!! ;)
OUCH...I hate burns like that!

I do love to be a little drama queen when I get hurt. Especially if it occurs while I'm cooking!
It would drive me crazy to be stuck in the house on a cold winters day... or I should say for several.... And.... I can relate to the blister. I had a hot glue gun blister on my pointer finger once. On the top between the first two joints! It was horribly awful!
I came over to from Creative Chaos. I love your list of "35 Thing". I turned 35 right before Christmas and might make a list for myself. Great idea.
Sorry you got burned...that REALLY hurts. I know what you mean about cabin fever. We've been snowed in here too. I get to go to work today...yippee...Really...I can't wait to get out of the house.
Have a great weekend.
Jackie
You crack me up! Your question on your profile about the poop deck...hilarious. Anyway, so sorry about the cabin fever and blister. Ouch!
Thanks for commenting on my birthday blog. I am passing on your great idea about the scrapbook!
How is the blister doing?
It fine...healing. Still a little sore.
I'm sorry about your burn.
