I Just Want You To Know

I just finished reading my first book in 2011! I am going to take a HUGE risk and confess something. Are you sitting down? Ok...here goes...

I like Kate Gosselin.

I have watched Jon and Kate Plus 8 off and on since the beginning. I thought she was a real witch in the beginning. I thought "Wow, she must have a little bag in her pocket containing Jon's manhood." She just seemed bossy.

Then as I watched more and more I started thinking about how hard it would be to take care of 8 children. All those clothes, shoes, feedings, diapers, potty training, etc. AND to do it in front of a camera! I would be a hot mess. If I was taped with just the 3 I have now...I would be great material for every late night comedian. I can see the Hot Topics for every talk show..."Scrappy Girl's youngest eats Fudge Round for breakfast...again." Stop the insanity!

I think Kate could have been a little less condescending to Jon, BUT can you imagine trying to keep a routine with JON GOSSELIN as your partner. He was like a concrete block tied to her leg while she tried to parent.

I admire that Kate openly admits her faults...even that weird short hairdo she used to rock! You know something is "off" when you are one of the top Halloween costumes!

I don't agree with all of what Kate says or does. I also worry about how the kids are being affected by all the cameras. I think Jon is a douschebag that got tired of being saddled with all those kids. I wish he would openly apologize to Christian Audiblahblahblah for single handedly ruining the Ed Hardy tshirt.

This book was a pretty good read. It didn't really tell me anything I hadn't already heard. The letters are sweet at first, but I got bored with them and skipped the last 6.

What are your feelings about Kate?

I have to admit that she has turned a difficult situation into something better. I always hesitate to judge some one like that. As you said, what if they examined my life in such detail and had me on camera for all my rants and meltdowns. I'm glad she got rid of that clown husband.

I like Kate too, I actually loved her haircut but I'm weird.

Nope, not on the Kate train. I think she has become a fame whore. Jon is a douchebag, but reading all the stuff in the media and seeing her on DWTS, etc., nope, not a fan.

She is a very strong woman. She never gives up. I watched all episodes too. I am sure i would not find anything new with the book too. I agree in all you said. Already with 3 and a husband it is hard. I can't even imagine 8 ! And an husband like John ! No way !
Hope this is a great day for you and thank you for saying hi !
Big hugs

I would die if I had 8 kids!

My turn - I think she took the situation where she found herself ( having 6 babies - needing the income and the offer of reality tv) and made a life for her family out of that opportunity. How many people would turn that down if it would really solve a lot of problems? Because I can imagine Huggies for 6 is quite expensive.

I think Jon should be neutered - he's his own special brand of crazy.

I have really tried to give her a go. I agree it would be hard to raise 8 kids on your own, so a reality show would pay the bills. But how will that affect those poor kids?

And we all know she had a tummy tuck because it was on the show. But, if I hear one more time that she hasn't had any other work done, I'm going to punch her.

I haven't really followed her much but from what I have seen I am not a fan. But she must have a large following to continue to be so popular.

I'm so glad to hear that you received your package, and that you love everything!(and that your daughter loves it, too!) You are very welcome! That is so great she is taking French lessons. I wish that I had taken them when I was in school, as it's so much harder to try and learn it now! Take care!

I've only watched the show a couple of times so I don't know a lot but what I did see.... I don't like her.

I don't really care either way that much. I'm not a follower.

We seem to be a judgemental society.

I'm sure she is doing the best she can. She has probably many regrets like most of us.

I could take her or leave her. I saw her on Sarah Palin and I thought she was pretty tacky then. I kind of felt sorry for Jon, being married to her. She is cute and has great hair though.
