I wasn't joking when I told the kids that if they didn't behave in Walmart I would put a price tag on them and sell them.
Have you ever threatened your children with something ridiculous? Did it work?

excellent threat!
i often threaten to trade them in for other kids - once serenity screamed back at me (in a full store) TRADE ME IN! guess she wasn't feeling the love either LOL :D
Visiting from SITS- I threaten to leave them at the sitter's, but I think they would enjoy that as much as I would!
How much?
Kristina...it depends on what day it is. lol
My boys were never big fighters but one day, the two oldest wouldn't leave each other alone. I tied them together for the res of the day. Told them that they are "now one" until they could get along.
Also, when our kids were older and broke curfew. They had to clean up the dog crap in the back yard. With each piece they could remind themselves that it was a bunch of crap that they couldn't manage to get home on time.
Love being the boss sometimes!
ha! I may have to pull that threat out someday!
my "mom" used to tell me to "go play in a Free-way" but we lived no where near one...so it always confused me....
Threatening never works... but it doesn't stop me from trying!
So... how much did you get?
Ha ha ha ha! How much do you want for her?
I've threatened to find a new family for them to live with before. Also to drop them off at the side of the road and let them walk home.
Once Bryan told my son if he didn't stop screaming he was going to put him in the trunk. He pulled over on the side of the road and asked him, "Do you want to stop screaming or go in the trunk?"
It worked. : )
Oh yeah - What mom doesn't right!
It's the REAL threats that get my kids - I can be a pretty mean mom (wink!).
This is such a cute picture - I am sure she would be bought in a snap!!
That is hilarious! I had so many threats! they never worked LOL!
My husband tells the Babies all the time he's going to turn them into stuffed animals. They ignore him.
One day when my son was little he refused to pick his toys up off of his bedroom floor and put them away. I took all of them out of his room and told him I was going to throw them away. I then made him stay in his room for timeout, while I hid them all in the laundry room. During the next week, I slowly put the toys back. I'm not sure if it is related but to this day he keeps his room clean.
Hilarious, but I think she's in the wrong section.
LOL! That's hilarious!!
Was she on the markdown?
Did you find a buyer yet?
I'll be sneaky and comment on older posts, then Cherie and Egan won't know that I've passed them up until later : )
Some days I would like to sell my husband ; )
That is just about the coolest thing I've ever seen.
I just might try it on my own kids!
One time my little boy really thought we were going to buy him a little brother at the store. So funny. If only it were that easy.
All good moms threaten their children..It's what we do
