BFF Ruth lives 4 hours away and does not own a car...due to my schedule with the kids school and activities we get to see each other very little...thank God for the telephone!
I would love to have someone here in this area to laugh and have fun together.
I just found out on Friday that the Cardmaking group I was getting together with for a year had been getting together without me. I called the SU consultant and asked her when she was going to be hosting another workshop since it had been so long (April). She said that they had gotten together a couple times over the summer and that Linda had invited them to her home that night. I felt like she had smacked me. She didn't even call to tell me another catalog had came out...she acted like she wasn't sure if another one had come out. It was bizarre. I am very hurt. What did I do wrong?
I have connected with a girl at TOPS...I am hoping to maybe have a "play date" soon. She is a Twilight fan so maybe we can go see the movie together.
I did tell Dr. Hubby last night that if the "friend situation" didn't look up soon that he needed to find a new job out west...
btw...Lil Sis emailed these photos to me...I shook hands with this orangutan during our animal adventure in August. She lives on that preservation we visited. While out walking one day she found a stray dog. Her trainer went around to all the houses trying to return him. No one claimed him. The orangutan and the blue tick hound became fast friends and the first thing she did was give him a bowl of food when they got back to her house. So sweet.
Happy Monday! Sorry for the whiney post.

Sweet monkey and puppy!
Sorry you are down on friends:( I understand. It's really hard for me to make friends, too.
When I get in a group of women I feel like I always say something that might offend someone. That's why I don't join in on groups very often.
If you lived in Austin, Texas I would be your friend!! We can still be online friends!
So what...i don't count as a friend?? because if we can't count our friends inside the computer then I guess i don't have any either....OK...now I'm just depressed....I live SOOO many miles away from my friends IRL....
...hey do you live near Wheeling, WV...there is a HUGE Cabela's there?? 'cause that is where we go every Thanksgiving....not to the Cabela's but to our friends house in that area....thought that might be near you guys?
I totally count my bloggy buddies as friends...but unfortunately just like my BFF Ruth, you aren't here where I can pop over to your house and say..."Let's go eat some chinese!" LOL!
awe, scrappy! I'm sorry! I hope your new friend turns out to be a really close one!
I think the card group is missing out on a fun gal in their get togethers if you ask me!
I think that Dr hubby needs to find a job out west. For reals. Intermountain healthcare is always recruiting and I don't know specifically what he does, but hey, get on out here!
Friends are everything aren't they?
xoxoxoxox
I still haven't made many friends since we moved here three years ago.
I LOVE all of those cute pictures. Aaaaaahhh how cute.
You should totally move out west - specifically to IDAHO.. :-D..
i'm sorry for your friend situation. that is rough. have you tried meetup.com? that's how i met a scrap group in my area and now i have loads of scrappy friends. :D
Those are the cutest pictures. Sorry for the friend situation. That stinks. If you lived closer to me you could pop in for Chinese whenever!
Cute pictures.
So sorry about the friend situation. It is strange how friends can come and go. It is time for some new ones (who live nearby) to enter your life...still going to church??
In the meantime you have all of us bloggy buddies!
P.S. You have so many LDS (Mormon) friends on your blogroll maybe you ought to try our church - believe me you will have more friends than you know what to do with!!
Sweet story about the orangutan and the dog.
Sorry you're dealing with this right now. Man, with the friend thing and the in-laws, I think I'd be wanting to move, too! I like having a friend close to do stuff with, but some of my closest friends are also my internet friends. I love that we email each other all day long.
Ouch...I hate that you are going through this.....wowzers... Friends can be awfully fickle can't they?
move out west, for sure!
(sorry things are tough right now)
Hey, if we don't count online blog friends or husbands/kids I have 1 friend. Who lives 4 hours away and I see twice a year. I talk to her on the phone every couple of months....
Hey, who needs real life friends? I think online friends are better anyway so THERE. =)
Sincerely though, sorry you're having a rough time.
Do we all feel that way at times??? some people think I have SO many friends. Sometimes I feel opposite. Love those pics. My name is Ruth, maybe we are long lost pals! Funny.
Pics remind me of the story of the Fox and the Hound, never know who our friends will turn out to be!
BTW, watching Oprah tomorrow will lift your spirits.
Saw Nienie on your roll.
I have what I call "lunch friends" but only a couple of "real" friends and they don't live here either. I know exactly how you feel. I think blog friends fill the gap somewhat...but I hear you...it's not the same. Wish we were closer!
I know how it is to feel lost and seem like you don't have friends. Being a SAHM is so confining sometimes that way, and it is lonely.
I lost my best friend this year (her choice not mine...but now I relize it was good) and I felt SO alone. I had to throw myself into who loved me...My true best friend in life (my husband!) and my kids.
Yea, it still burns, but it makes you relize who really loves you.
Hang in there... everyone has those days.:)
Sorry about the friend situation...if we lived closer I would come over with cocktails and you could teach me about scrapping!!!
You are the coolest chic ever-
Find a SAHM who has little kids- trust me, she will be desperate for adult conversation- and help with her little ones (or just move next door to me :) plzzz Chinese sounds really good right now- er, for breakfast ... how about later for lunch. *hugs*
I truly feel your pain, scrappy. Those pictures are so touching they almost make me weep. Ok, only one or two tears fell, honest!
i am the same way in the friend category. friends to all but close with none.
All my close close friends have moved away and something in the distance has prevented me from sharing my truest worries or concerns. probably because they are so far away, they really can't do anything but offer support and say I wish I were there, i wish there were somthing I could do. So, we talk and laugh yet its about nothing.
I don't have friends in my ward. I have great aquaintances. I know they will drop anything to help me, but I wouldn't call them out and say lets hang. yep, i've been a bit whiney hence, lack of blogging.
Perhaps, we could be great friends in real life too.
