My Dad (Gumpaw to the kids) relaxes in a lawn chair while killing horseflies off the deer. Then he freezes the horseflies to feed to the fish in the creek later. My parents live in a valley that is full of very friendly deer. BTW, I did not notice the dead horseflies until I squashed one with my bare foot! Ewww!
The local raccoon came over to enjoy some overripe fruits from Gumpaw's friend, the produce man. So cute! Reminds me of the movie "Elf"..."Does somebody want a hug?" LOL! That does not end very well...
We are back home and today is full of "fun" (can you hear the sarcasm). I procrastinated and I am trying to get Wild Child enrolled in preschool. She is completely "daytime" potty trained. Night time...not so much! LOL!
We are going to the County Fair tonight! Mmmmm....I can smell the funnel cake now!
Happy Thursday!

i love the movie ELF....ha ha!!!
and that Racoon is cute!
How cool that the deer will lay that close to the driveway!!! We have deer all over our back yard most nights - They like to bed down near the swings after having a midnight snack in the garden.
Cute racoon - my parents have some that are very friendly little yard buddies.
Look at all that wildlife! Is your dad related to Snow White?? lol Looks like you had a good time, sorry to hear to had to come back to real life. At least you got to get away!
Very friendly is right. I would say that there is not hunting season around that house! Cute post. M
Those are some critters you got over your way. How amazing. That deer is like a dog. I am surprised it is not panting. The coon can get in trouble though. Those are messy. Have a great time at the fair and with that funnel cake.
Gave you a blog award, check it out on my blog!!
I can NOT believe that a deer is just sitting there SO close to a human! incredible! very cool!
Muhmmmm funnel cake *drooling* yummy!! Kids in bed means relaxing time for us - not happening at this moment in time ... darnnit!
Love the deer and the coon! Holy cow I can't believe the deer. I've never seen anything like that. This post rocks!
