Who Could Resist That Smile

I am one of those people whose thoughts and feelings are "written all over my face." My face gives me away when I am mad, sad, glad, bad, disgusted, etc.
The other day I guess I was a little too happy to see someone. They took one look at me and said, "You are entirely too smiley for my liking."
What?! I don't say anything and this person looks at me again...
"Don't look at me that way."
I am sure my expression was one of hurt, embarrassment, and confusion.
One of the best compliments I was ever given was
"Your smile is contagious."

I also have that often annoying ability to find the positive among a pile of negative. I think that comes from knowing God and that everything happens for a reason. I may freak out about changes at first...but once I am given time to think I can just pick up and roll with it.

One downside of being a smiley face is that I also have the problem of laughing at the wrong times. Like when people get hurt. One time I saw a friend grab the back of a 4wheeler and tell the driver to go and she would hang on. The driver thought she would be smart enough to let go. He punched the gas...she did not let go. Have you ever seen someone bounce off the pavement? It is hilarious...especially when it is caused by moronic behavior. She was fine...except for some scrapes and bruises. However, she was a little ticked at me. I was bent over her trying to ask if she was ok, but couldn't quit laughing long enough to get it out.

O.M.G. She really said that?! You see, I'm a VERY smiley just like you. I always have a smile for people, and I tend to be the "see the silver lining" chick of the group. That being said, if that girl had said that to me, I would've promptly said that the fence-pole stuck up her butt was entirely too big for my liking!! Just like you, my feelings are always written clearly on my face..and always come out of my mouth without restraint! He he!

I love all of the pictures...they made me smile. My favorite is the yellow happy smile amongst blue sad little balls. I love to smile and laugh at the wrong moments too. In fact, when I cry (and I don't very often) it's usually with a smile... I'm weird I know.

I like being part of the happy go lucky group. Life is MUCH more fun with a happy song in your heart and on your face.

Brady makes me laugh everyday... Kids are the best!

I can't believe anyone said that to you. What a rude person. The last time I smiled was when my daughter described something that happened at her school today. Teenagers do strange things!

I am similar, I love to smile too and be positive. Sometimes my friends get annoyed, but I smile anyway. That is such a wonderful trait to have, being cheerful and spreading the love! What makes me smile? Well, my family and friends, that is for sure. Also random events that I don't plan for. Those are the best.

that person was so rude! the nerve of some people...
once i had someone tell me that if they didnt like me so much they would hate me. i still haven't gotten over that one.

anyway.. i am glad you have a better attitude towards that person and people in general! You are amazing!

and the last thing that made me smile was when we, as a family, were playing "Apples to Apples" tonight after FHE. It was FUN!!!!!!

i love my little family!

Rudeness! I can't believe that person said that to you.

The last thing that made me smile was probably something my youngest said or did. He constantly makes me smile.

oh my gosh, we are a lot a like. i too wear my feelings on my sleeve.
when people down other people and talk about the negative, i always pipe in with a positive. i guess i like playing the devil's advocate.

i am in a pretty miserable mood right now, though. everything is urking me! so, i have to really concentrate about the last thing that made me smile. playing tic tac toe with my son during sacrament meeting. He kept thinking he would trick me and win. NOT! LOL
