Goodbye...

This morning I drove Foster Son to his new foster parent's home. He did not cry or show much emotion. I couldn't figure out why until he said, "I'll be back every weekend." What!? So on the drive I had to explain that he was not coming back every weekend. I don't know where he got that idea!?

It was sad to come back and see his room without it's "boy stuff." We are going to redecorate it for Manga Dork. She gave it up to Foster Son for almost 2 years. The first thing to go is going to be that mattress. It is 14 years old and those are soda stains (not pee pee). Dr. Hubby says that we can get new paint, furniture, and decorations for her 13th birthday next month! Manga Dork is thinking zebra stripes, hot pink, and bright green. It is so hot and trendy right now (and her blog colors LOL).

Dr. Hubby took off with my memory card so I will post some pictures from our Goodbye party later tonight. I am off to pack for another exciting trip...

You have given him two years of love and stability. That is a great gift. Good for you! You have made a difference in someone's life. M

Wow Scrappy. You were such a kind and dear person for him. I know he will forever be thankful. It must have been hard to have to explain that to him. Sorry about that.

Now it is back to the family and you can relax and know that you did the best you could. Take care.

He cant help but be touched and be a better person for the kindness you all showed during the past two years! I hope things go well for him.

Zebra stripes! Cant wait to see pictures of that!

The Theme that she wants sounds like the Zebra print hoodie that was in my give-away....which BY THE WAY i STILL have because it was the wrong size for the Winner!! so she asked me to just keep it!!!!

we might have to strike up a dealio

oh the picture is so sad! Two years and he is off to another family. I hate that. How does anyone settle and plant trust roots. Is he able to contact you after he has been placed? or is there no contact.

It must be hard to have someone in your home, love them, treat them like they are your family and then have them leave. AT least your home was safe and secure for him.
You have taught him well, while in your care.

I love what you are going to do to manga dorks room. I am looking to redecorate my daughter's room again, too. She wants black, white, hot pink with splashes of lime green. yes, trendy is the word.
