NC Day #1 and Day #2

We had a great flight experience going to NC to see Lil Sis. Yes, Mechelle I probably should accompany Frumpy next time! LOL!

We went to Lil Sis's home. Her Jack Russell Terrier, Morgan, was VERY happy to see us. BIL was too (he just didn't attack us at the door). We went to Walmart and then picked up Ruby Tuesdays "Tue" go. You know I love their Typhoon shrimp! Yummy!

After dinner we celebrated Lil Sis and BIL's 27th birthdays. They are both in September, but we wanted to do it while we were with them. We gave BIL 3 DVDs and a 2,000 Wii points card. We gave Lil Sis Stampin' Up cardmaking supplies.

Manga Dork enjoyed the Wii. It was hilarious to watch them do boxing!

Day #2

We decided to hang out in New Bern for day #2. Our first stop was a GREAT scrapbook store. I LOVED this definition on the wall. I think I am going to copy it in the schoolhouse!

Next we went to this GREAT used book store. I got 2 Debbie Macomber books and 1 Jan Karon. Hardbacks were $7 and paperbacks $3.50. All her stuff looks almost new too!

We ate lunch in this Amish style restaurant. It wasn't as Amish as I am used to, but it was still delicious! Lil Sis, Manga Dork, and I devoured a slice of cheesecake.

New Bern is full of cute little shops. I loved the halloween decos. This hat was gorgeous! There is an owl and snail on it. Dr. Hubby and I have to attend a costume party at another doctor's home...this hat inspired me to go as a white witch and have Dr. Hubby in all white as a vampire. I'm tellin' ya you gotta read Twilight! I'm hooked...

The last shop we went in was called "The Accidental Artist." It is a paint-your-own pottery shop. It was SO much fun! I chose a coaster set. I painted them with cherries and black/white checkerboard. We were there almost 4 hours...we were a little slow!

We picked up KFC and came to Lil Sis's home to make cards. I just taught Lil Sis to heat emboss...she is hooked. Speaking of hooked, she is picking up a copy of Twilight tomorrow.

TGIF!
