Lazy Saturday!

Today was such a lazy day. After some VERY light housecleaning, Dr. Hubby's Uncle Danny and Aunt Earsie came to visit. We haven't seen them for almost a year. The babies attacked Danny at the door and used him as a jungle gym the whole time. It was hilarious! Wild Child would wink at him and give him a thumbs up. As he was leaving she hugged his leg and said, "I love you." I found out later that she made him really hold back the tears. She's tricky that way!

I made lunch and then got my blankets and sat in THE chair. You know the one...the one that is SO soft your butt sinks in and if you are the least bit chubby you can bearly get back up...yep that one. We watched the Drake and Josh Christmas movie. Cutie Patootie fell asleep on me. I spent the afternoon in that chair. It was nice...we haven't done that in a while.

Our town parade was tonite but it got canceled due to snowy roads! Tomorrow the plan is church...lunch out...grocery shopping...fish for fish tank shopping...and then we are picking up our first real tree!

Do you do a real tree or a faux one?

I'm going to have a day like this Sunday! I need it. I may not even get out of my jammies! (I wish)
We have a fake tree... The Handyman is alergic to the pine.. I do burn a fabulous Scentsy pine though.... (I prefer real)

I like real trees but for the money and the hassle free, we bought an artificial. It was not pre lit! I plan on keeping the lights on the fake, and storing it with the lights on.

Love real. Have fake. Miss the smell. So I get a candle: Christmas Wreath. It smells just like the real thing. m

PS
Jan is always making me smile. m

pps
Jim is wishing mine were fake.

Fake and pre-lit. I highly recommend it. And for two reasons...1)our crazy cats would have their way with it 2)we had a house fire when I was a child, it started at the tree...now I just have a phobia! But I really miss the smell, so I buy a real pine centerpiece for the table.

We do the fake tree thing here.

I'd need a really soft can't-get-out-of-it-chair to be able to sit though a Drake and Josh show. Those guys irritate me something fierce!

We use to have real trees...would go cut them ourselves. Then upon moving here, we found that a real tree was going to run us over $50 and that was way to much. So one year after Christmas we bought the prettiest artificial tree and have been using it for the last seven years. My MIL is very picky about trees and when they came a few years back she kept commenting on how good our tree smelled and how beautiful it was......she had no clue for two days that it wasn't real....we finally had to tell her and she was shocked. Speaking of trees.....I hope to get ours up today. I still have no Christmas decorations up in the house.......Countrychick is starting to give me the LOOK!!!

Have a great, fun, Sunday......

Love the snow falling on your blog! =)

We went with fake/prelit this year and its smaller! I hate the hassle of putting the lights on! But I do love a real live smelly tree! Oh, and mine are real! Sounds like a lovely day!

We did real for about 15 years of our marriage. Now we do fake-pre lite! Love it...I don't miss the mess...I do miss the smell though!

FYI-REAL!!

Referring to twin's statement:
But she can't smell the tree anyway! LOL
Faux for me this year. I've done real the last couple of years-it just depends on the mood I'm in. Not in the mood for a mess this year!

We have always had a fake tree since I got married. My wife and daughter have allergies. This year we are doing the Christmas with the Cranks and not putting uup any decorations. We had an all out Thanksgiving, and our grandbabies won't be with us for Christmas, so we are going on a cruise.
