I am loving having a USB cord for my digital camera. I couldn't resist going out on the farm this evening and letting some of my animal friends say hello!
This is Tony. He is a Belgian cross. He is our buggy horse. He was a Mother's Day gift along with the Amish buggy. He prefers the greener grass on the other side of the fence. This keeps our fence continuously in need of repair.
This is Lightning and Whitey the Longhorn. Dr. Hubby fell in love with Lightning and had to buy her. All the kids call her the "Dalmation Horse."
Aren't these just the cutest little guys. We had several babies on the farm this year.
I am a little nervous (ok alot nervous) around the longhorn. This is Starburst. See the blur of her tail. Well....as soon as I took this pic she charged toward the fence kicking and snorting. Scrappy Girl nearly wetted herself. I turned and ran away screaming. My legs turned to jello and my heart dropped to my toes. She evidently doesn't like the flash of a camera. Hmmm...maybe she should hang with Britney. I bet that would solve the papparazzi problem!
Have a great night!

I love this Scrappy. I was raised on a farm and I just loved all the animals going around all crazy and fun. Thanks for sharing a piece of your life. I really got a smile on my face.
Oh I just love this! Tonight the Doodlebug and I went for a ride - out to see the cows and horsies and deer playing around. It was a great time! I would love to simply walk outside and have all that in my yard ...
Well, 'cept the deers - they are the ones eating up UIC's garden. And the bunnies. LOL
Great pictures!! I'm quite sure I would be running away from Starburst, too. I think you're right, though. She would help Britney a lot!!
I just can't imagine what it is like to live on a farm with animals and all that - it looks like fun!
You have an Amish buggy!!! I am SO jealous! We rode one for our homemoon in Penn!! HOW fun!
Love the farm, what a great life you have!
GREAT pictures!!! You are so lucky to live in quiet and peace!
Still laugh about the midnight slip and slide!
Thanks for all your sweet comments on my blog!! I appreciate you popping in every day or so!!
As for the candy molds...I told my husband the night I made them that I should have frozen them between each step to let the chocolate set up more and maybe it would have been better! I am going to try that next time!! Huntler thought they were cute anyway...he said, "These are awesome Mommy!" Imagine that coming out of a three and half year old!! :) Too funny!
I bought all the soap supplies yesterday at Michael's...that is an upcoming project as well! So, I should get off the computer and get ready for the day so I can be productive!
Have a good one!
I love your pics and your story cracks me up! I wouldn't want those horns coming at me either - LOL! Thanks for sharing - and I really want to know the story behind the Amish buggy.....*STAMPIN HUGS* Alex
Love learning about the animals on the farm. I think I would be very scared around the longhorn Starburst too.
