"It's Real Life" Challenge

I have joined in the "It's Real Life" fun over at http://www.farmfreshiowa.blogspot.com/.

This week's challenge (and my very first try at this) is to post our bedroom in all it's realness. Ok, let me just say I REALLY lucked out because this is the only room I got clean today because of my yucky toe.

This is our bed. We have only had it for about a year. It took us forever to agree on a bedroom suit. We have very different taste. We had been sleeping on my childhood queen bed. It was moved 8 times and had to be propped up with a cinder block when we moved here! No joke! Then it totally died and our mattresses were on the floor. The only real mess in this room was the pillows I had used to take a rest while the kids ate lunch.

I love this dresser, but it took Big Sandy furniture almost a year to try to get it right. They never did and took off $600 if we kept it. My mommy made my wallhanging.

The armoire is my fave piece to this suit. Dr. Hubby keeps his clothes in it. We had to remove the door facings to get it into the room.

This is my top middle dresser drawer filled with the stuff I use regularly. Lots of Bath and Body Works, Fantasy cologne, change, my old Guess watch, hairbows, DVF cosmetic bag, deodorant, brush, Garnier Fructisse hair oil, etc.

This was fun and I REALLY lucked out. Any other room and I would have been in trouble! LOL! I look forward to participating again.

Oh man, forget it!! LOL Nobody is seeing my house, especially not my room! ;) Although it has been way messier than it is at this moment! Our matress is on the floor right now too.

I love your bedroom suite! And your wall hanging! ♥

Oh I love that armoire! It reminds me of something at my parents' that had belonged to my mom's parents and Daddy had it refinished. I keep trying to convince my mom to let me have it :)
As you can guess so far, I'm not doing so well :)

Enjoyed the pix!

We have been married almost 19 years and I am still waiting for my perfect house to house my perfect bedroom furniture. I think its time I break down and buy bedroom furniture that will fit in our bedroom. We have dressers but our bed is on a metal frame with no footboard or headboard. Great share, I especially like your accessory drawer. (you get to know people more that way)
