Potty Training 101

Cutie Patootie and Wild Child aren't wanting any part of potty training. So I decided to get them some research materials.

"It's such a beautiful day to be laying on a blanket in the grass. Glad I have a good book to read." thinks Cutie Patootie as the breeze blows her wild curls.

"Mom I can't concentate with you hovering over top of me."

"Ok, now where was I...you sit on the potty and..."

"She wants me to do what...in where...and everyone can see...How embarrassing!" exclaims Cutie Patootie.

I would try potty training rewards. This worked great for our son. He love pushing the audio button hearing he is a Big Boy and opening a door to find a chocolate surprise. He really became involved. He was peeing and pooping in his potty within a week. I know every child is different, but have a look and see if this would work for you little one. www.pottytrainingrewards.com

Love the photos. Very cute! Good luck with the potty training. I always consoled myself with the fact that they would not be in pullups when they went to the MTC! m

LOL! I'm cracking up over here. Sorry I can't offer any words of wisdom for you, but I wish you and Cutie-Patootie the best of luck! Big girls DO use the potty (thank heavens)!!

Last night I bribed the Little Imp...I told her that if she went potty for me I'd make cupcakes with her this morning.

She actually went. Despite loud and long protestations she went.

Did I mention I hate making cupcakes?

Found your blog through POW. Look forward to many more visits. I really enjoy your writing.

Hi again.

POW = Post of the Week over at McMommy Chronicles.

Thanks for stopping by my place.

Have a great 4th of July...as far as our plans, not sure yet. Eldest daughter has to work, and the weather isn't going to be anything to write home about...which is typical for this part of New England.

We had the same book! It actually made potty training harder- my daughter wanted the exact same potty and exact same underwear that she saw in the book, lol. And the star stickers got put all over the furniture.

Good luck!
