All Work And No Pay Makes You...A Housewife!

I know I said I was taking a break this week from Project Better...BUT it seems the "domino effect" has taken control...here's what happened...

The last thing to do in Manga Dork's room (other than find things for the walls) was to post the rules. I think those are reasonable. The consequences of not following the rules...she has to go to bed 30 minutes early. So she can lose up to an hour each day! A 10:00 bedtime is a privilege we negotiated this school year...I prefer 9:00!

The domino effect took over and it caused me to also post this sign on our kitchen counter. This is a big problem area. I even have a hard time...it's just so easy to drop things here.

Because we moved all Manga Dork's things to her room, it left a huge mess in the baby's room. Soooooo....the "domino effect" took over and I cleaned and organized their room. This is one side of the closet. I LOVE Plastic Organizers!

This is the other side of the closet. You even get a glimpse of their Halloween costumes! I need to go shopping for clothes...I have a couple bags for Goodwill and very little for their fall/winter wardrobes.

The toy chest fit perfectly in the closet and I leave this side of the closet door open. I only put items in the chest that are "one piece."

All the toys that are in "pieces" I put on the top shelf of the closet (Pokemon, Little Pet Shops, horse collection, blocks, puzzles, play food/dishes, etc.). I plan to give them one at a time and teach them to clean up before getting something else. Prayers will be needed! LOL!

I also took the bunk beds apart. They loved it! This is the room Manga Dork shared with them. Can you imagine bunk beds and 2 cribs in here! It was packed. Cutie Patootie was glad to graduate from the toddler bed. When I tucked her in bed last night she said, "How you like me bed?" I teared up. So precious.

Now if I can just get them to leave the stuffed animals on this shelf!

Hope everyone is having a great Wednesday!

Love the signs so much. It brings back the memories of when my boys were young. My signs read like-

By the toilet- We take pride in good Aiming.

Things like that :) You are doing a great job Scrappy.

I too post signs in Countrychick's room.....sometimes they just need a gentle reminder......wish I had been doing the "sign" thing when my son was growing up.....maybe it would have helped the state of his room.

You are one busy lady!!

I need to clean out a few things, but first I must go can up some of my green tomatoes..........

I love it! Great job! I have been trying to be "better" too. I was too embarrassed to post pics of my nasty refrigerator I cleaned Monday. Love this idea.
