It's On...

Here is the beginning...the beginning of my party. I am not going to let someone's ignorance rob me of a great celebration. I plan on having a great party. I want to celebrate life and the honor of living another year. I want to have the best party most of my friends and family have ever attended. I want to share my love of Twilight with them. I want it to be something we talk about for quite awhile. And when I decide to give myself another one in the future...there will be no rolling of the eyes or laughter...just them begging to be invited. LOL!

If you gave yourself a party...what would the theme be?

TGIF!

That birthday party sounds awesome and I'm so glad you are going through with it. I really don't know what theme I'd throw. Being on Christmas Eve it seems like the theme is predetermined. The theme is that "it's not really your birthday you know Jen, it's the day before a major holiday and we're busy and only pretending to tolerate this and pretend we care." Okay that was harsh but kind of true. When I celebrate my birthday I try to make it NORMAL - like lets go out for chinese food or order a pizza and sit in our pajamas and be NORMAL for like five minutes.

Ouch Jen...that would stink. My family kinda had that same look last year when my bday was on Thanksgiving.

Have you ever thought of giving yourself an unbirthday? Like on your half birthday. That would be June 24th. Just an idea.

We do the 1/2 birthday for my son. His bday is Dec. 15th. It is so fun. We give him 1/2 the cake. 1/2 the present. (He usually gets shoes and we only give him one shoe) And we sing him only 1/2 the bday song. Like every other word. It is so fun.

I don't know what theme I would do if I gave myself a party. I am just trying to figure out what to do for my daughter's 15 bday. It is two weeks away.

Do you have any ideas? m

Ooooohhh...yes I have lots of ideas floating around in my head Mechelle...but the one that stands out to me is to figure out a budget (Minus gift budget) and let Kallie plan the type of party she wants (with your help of course)! Something you can plan together UNLESS she would rather be GIVEN a party!

Sounds like you are a woman with a plan........=D Don't you dare let anyone steal your thunder!!! Plan the best birthday party ever!!! ( be sure to keep us in the loop with all of the fun details....=)

Birthday's around here usually get pushed aside since they fall in the middle of summer.....there are three of us that have b-day's in July....4th, 7th and 14th and dear daugter has her b-day in Feb. A good friend had a party in my honor this past 4th.....it was a nice day with friends and family. Very small gathering, bbq and then off to watch fireworks. This was the first little party I have had in years!!!! My hubby is always haying so we usually just go to a quick dinner out and that is all. If I could have a theme party, I guess it would be a "Day Spa" theme because I am such a farm girl and never take time for the frilly, prissy fun stuff.....He, he. I think that would be a fun theme to go with.......
